I earned my bachelor's in criminal justice from California State University-Long Beach. I engaged in private tutoring as a student, learning from mentors who provided valuable insight and support to my academic success. Later, I tutored students to give it back. My top tutoring subject is math, whether from elementary to middle school level. I also tutor students in Korean, languages, reading, and writing. I enjoy working with elementary to middle school age students because it is a great time to make sure they completely comprehend the subjects they are learning. Tutoring is an excellent supplement to go alongside classroom-based learning. I can help them work through their homework, provide test-taking strategies to improve their scores, and evaluate their understanding of their coursework. I aim to make learning fun for my students, as I firmly believe that engaging and creative activities can heighten students' academic development. I strive for total understanding, rather than simply preparing my student for their next exam. Working with the future educational generation is inspiring and fulfilling. When I'm not tutoring, I am a very active person. I love hiking in the mountains, as well as competing in basketball. I am a big sports fan, too.
